The ones that’s logged on Steam during the last 24 hours might have found out that their Left 4 Dead 2 game got updated. This is due to the release of the DLC called “The Passing”.

This brings the Left 4 Dead survivors down south for a metting with the L4D2 cast. I have missed the Left 4 Dead survivors, so this should be fun.

“The Passing” features 3 new maps, new weekly modes (mutations), a new “uncommon common” zombie class (the fallen survivor), melee weapon (golf club), weapon (M-60), support for infected bot play in Versus, 10 new achievements, and even more!

At the moment, Steam’s countdown is saying it’s approximately 2 days an 16 hours left until Left 4 Dead 2 is released!

If you need help with the math, it will release the 17th of November (today is the 14th).

You can still pre-order it, and get the “exclusive” baseball bat. You won’t get the “early access” as everyone can get it now.

As some of you might have noticed, the Left 4 Dead 2 demo is out. It came out the 28th, just after midnight, GMT.

You can see some lovely pictures from the demo here.  The green, sparkly stuff is from the Spitter.

When the timer said “10 minutes over-due”, Valve found out they wanted to postpone the game about 10 hours, meaning it’s supposed to release tomorrow at 6 AM GMT.

This is only for the PC demo. If the sources are correct, Xbox 360 got it when supposed to. Thank you, Valve!

Details about the  L4D2 demo are out!

For the people who pre-ordered L4D2, you will get your hands on the demo the 27th October. Xbox Gold members and all PC users will get it the 3rd November, while the remaining bit of Xbox users get it the 10th November, a week before the full game is released, 17th November.

In the demo, you will be able to combat all the new boss zombies aswell as using all the new melee weapons. The part you will play belongs to the campaign “The Parish”, set in the New Orleans French Quarter. Up to 4 players can play on LAN or over the Internet in the demo, with two-player split screen on the Xbox.
